The board of directors comprises of three members of which two are from the medical profession and one is from the field of Information Technology. They are:

• Dasantha Fonseka – CEO
• Janaka Fonseka – Managing Director
• Kumari Fonseka – Director

Both Dasantha and Kumari are from the medical profession and are the founders of Vision Care. Both are qualified Ophthalmic Technologists and have over 20-years of experience in the field of Optometry. The knowledge and experience gained over the years were put to good use to strategically develop Vision Care Optical Services (Pvt) Ltd., to be the leader in providing total eye care solutions within a short period of fifteen years. Dasantha’s focus on the business is strategic and he is looking at taking the business to a greater height.  

Vision Care has its own Eye Care Pharmacy in the same premises for all eye care medicinal requirements. Today our Corporate Office and state-of-the-art showroom is located at No:06, Ward Place, Colombo 07, with with branches at Sulaiman Place, Kurunegala, Ja-Ela, Wennappuwa, Ratnapura, Norris Clinic, Crescat, Central Hospital, Galle, Grand Hotel Nuwaraeliya, Nuwara Eliya Town, Jaffna, CHC Centre Colombo, Bandarawela, Anuradhapura, K-Zone, Kandy, Batticaloa & Trinco. We will be opening branch in Vaveniya shortly.

Janaka comes from the background of Information Technology and has held different positions in some of the leading private sector organizations for over ten years before joining the family business full time in 1994. He heads the company’s operations in the capacity of Managing Director today.
